Safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do at Stapleford Community Primary School.
Mrs Spain and Mrs Hore are the designated safeguarding leads and any concerns or worries should be discussed with them.

We are delighted to have a great number of volunteers who help support the school in a variety of ways.
We really benefit a great deal from their support, you have the most amazing skills and talents! However, as safeguarding the children is of paramount importance to us, we request that volunteers complete some straightforward steps, including providing references that will always be checked prior to starting.
There are different sorts of volunteers, such as those who assist on a trip perhaps once a year, and who are always with a member of staff and never left alone with the children. In such a circumstance a DBS clearance would not be required, but a volunteer agreement, and a completed registration form is requested as are 2 references. Other volunteers come into school much more regularly, perhaps to support a group activity. In this case in addition to a volunteer agreement, and registration form, 2 references, a satisfactory DBS clearance is essential.
