Who are we?
The governors of Stapleford Community Primary School are elected by the parents, staff, the local authority, our community partners and the Governing Body itself.
All members of the Governing Body team are committed and active in promoting and supporting the high quality teaching and learning in school and provide a strategic vision for continuous improvement.
The collective expertise and experience of our current governors and associate members includes teaching, senior educational management, accountancy, law, educational publishing, engineering, marketing, business management and training.

What do we do?
The Governing Body works closely with the Headteacher in the strategic leadership of the school, and holds the school to account for the education it provides for the pupils.
The Full Governing Body meets at least once each half term. Committees meet ahead of full meetings to focus on a) performance, standards and school improvement; b) resources and financial management; c) people and professional development.
The finalised minutes of meetings are available in a file at the school office and governors are always happy to talk with parents and any interested person about the school.
Agenda, reports and papers considered at Governing Body meetings will be made available on request from the school office as soon as is reasonably practicable.
“The governing body and headteacher have worked hard and successfully to create an effective senior leadership structure over the past year. This has had a very positive impact on provision and pupils’ achievement throughout the school.” Ofsted, June 2013
